Haslewey Community Centre was opened in 2003 to provide a much needed Community Centre for everyone. Contrary to popular belief, the centre is not run by the local authority and does not receive any grants to help towards running costs.
Haslewey is a completely independent organisation, a registered charity and running as a business. To enable Haslewey to continue to benefit the local community we are heavily dependent on income we generate from room hire, services we offer and fundraising through the local community. For more information about upcoming fundraising events please see the future Events page of the website.
OUR EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING
Haslewey launched The Learning Tree towards the end of 2014 and this provides free courses for the Haslemere community and the surrounding villages.
A number of different activities go on at Haslewey including all the latest fitness classes such as Zumba and Kettlebell. There are always new classes, courses and events going on so make sure you keep an eye on the News, future Events and Activity List pages.
We have a number of rooms which are available for hire. We have different sized rooms with different features and facilities. If you are interested in hiring a room please have a look at the View the Rooms section of the Room Hire Prices page or the Gallery page of the website and get in touch with Kerry and the team for more information.
Haslewey is run by a board of trustees and members. The Centre Manager is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who help in all aspects of the running of Haslewey. We have volunteering positions for all skill sets and for all ages. For more information please see the Volunteering page of the website.
