At Haslewey, we’re all about bringing people together. Whether you’re popping in for a class, meeting friends in the café, or looking for the perfect space to host an event, you’ll always find a warm welcome here. As an independent charity, we offer affordable room hire for everything from big celebrations to small get-togethers, with spaces designed to fit whatever you have in mind.
We also run a variety of daily activities, special events, and community services — including our much-loved Post Office and café. Every time you visit, join an activity, or book a room, you’re helping us continue the work we love: creating a friendly, supportive place for the whole community to enjoy.

Who we are
We are a registered charity, run independently as a business for the benefit of the local community. To enable us to continue our work, we rely heavily on the income we generate through room hire, the services we provide, events and fundraising, alongside grants and private donations.
The centre is overseen by a Board of Trustees and Members, with day-to-day operations led by our Centre Manager, a small, committed staff team and an incredible army of volunteers, whose time, energy and enthusiasm are at the very heart of everything we do. Quite simply, the Haslewey could not operate without them!
Volunteers help with classes, reception, kitchen and cafe support. We have volunteer opportunities for all skill levels and ages — you can find out more on our Volunteer page!
