Our Community Café is a welcoming space to relax and meet friends, with a variety of hot and cold food, drinks, and light snacks to enjoy throughout the day. A takeaway menu is also available.
We’re proud to serve freshly baked cakes every day — from classic carrot cake to rich chocolate fudge cake. Our famous cheese scones are especially popular and often fly off the shelves within minutes!
All our food is prepared fresh daily and made to order, with comforting home-cooked specials alongside a fresh bistro-style menu. We’re also happy to host larger lunch gatherings, including birthday celebrations, Christmas lunches, wakes and evening suppers.
You’re always welcome to drop in for a slice of cake and a great cup of coffee, brewed using beans from our local speciality roastery, Pact Coffee.

Freshly prepared food, homemade baking and a passion for serving the local community

Karen
Karen has a real passion for cooking and for the people she cooks for. Trained at Guildford College, she’s worked in cafés and restaurants and also ran her own catering business.
She’s been part of Haslewey for over 7 years, creating fresh, homemade food for the local community. From comforting daily specials to much-loved classics, everything is made with care. Her baking is a firm favourite too, especially her Coffee and Walnut cake, Lime and Courgette cake and her famous cheese scones that fly off the counter warm out the oven.

Evan
Evan is a fully trained chef who studied at Chichester College, gaining his Level 2 Professional Chef qualification. He’s worked across a variety of kitchens, including Hilton Hotels, P&O Cruises and Loch Fyne Restaurant.
He has a real love for good, honest food, with his Yorkshire puddings being a particular highlight—especially on roast days. Alongside Karen, he helps create a welcoming café where great food and friendly service go hand in hand.
