A Huge Thank You to Little Lumpy!

We are absolutely delighted and incredibly grateful to have received a fantastic donation from Little Lumpy, who selected Haslewey Community Centre as one of the charities to benefit from this year's event.

Little Lumpy has become one of Haslemere's most popular annual charity cycling events, bringing together hundreds of cyclists, volunteers and supporters to raise money for local charities. This year's event was another outstanding success, with more than 350 cyclists taking part across a range of scenic routes through the beautiful Surrey Hills and surrounding countryside.

We are honoured that Haslewey Community Centre was selected as one of this year's beneficiary charities. The generosity of everyone involved has resulted in a wonderful donation that will make a real difference to the work we do.

As an independent local charity, Haslewey relies on the support of our community to continue providing a welcoming space for people of all ages. Every week we welcome 100s of visitors through our doors, offering a wide range of activities, wellbeing classes, community groups, room hire, our friendly café, the Haslemere Post Office, and many other services that help reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and bring people together.

This generous donation will help us continue supporting our local community, ensuring Haslewey remains a vibrant, welcoming and sustainable community hub for years to come.

The Little Lumpy event was a true community effort, and Haslewey was proud to play its part. Our staff, trustees and volunteers were on hand throughout the day, welcoming riders at registration and manning the cyclists' feeding stations.

Behind the scenes, an army of Haslewey volunteers generously baked an incredible selection of homemade cakes and treats, helping to keep the cyclists fuelled and smiling along the route. Their hard work, kindness and community spirit were greatly appreciated by everyone taking part.

We're also delighted to congratulate our very own 'Community Ken' aka Ken Griffiths, who took on the challenge and completed the ride himself. Well done, Ken – a fantastic achievement and a great example of the community spirit that Haslewey is all about!

Finally, a very special thank you goes to John Mills for his vision, dedication and leadership in organising this year's Little Lumpy. Bringing together hundreds of cyclists, volunteers and supporters is no small task, and the event was a tremendous success from start to finish. Your hard work and commitment have helped raise vital funds for local charities, including Haslewey, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done.

To everyone who cycled, volunteered, baked, donated, sponsored or supported the event in any way – thank you. Your enthusiasm, generosity and community spirit have made a genuine difference to Haslewey and the people we support.
