Haslewey - we bring people together

Haslewey Community Centre continues to be at the very heart of the local community, bringing people together through friendship, activities, support and wellbeing. As an independent charity supporting Haslemere and the surrounding villages, we are proud to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where people of all ages can socialise, stay active, learn new skills and feel part of something special.

Every day the centre is filled with activity, conversation and community spirit. From yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Zumba, stretch and tone, dance and art clubs to acting groups, karate, bingo and wellbeing classes, there is always something taking place within our walls. Many of these activities are about far more than simply exercise or hobbies — they help reduce loneliness, improve mental wellbeing, build confidence and create lasting friendships.

Alongside our activities, Haslewey also provides valuable community services including a Post Office, hairdressers, podiatry clinic, reflexology and affordable counselling, all helping support the everyday wellbeing of local people. Our welcoming café continues to be a much-loved social hub where people come together for homemade food, coffee, conversation and companionship.

Throughout the year, Haslewey hosts a wide range of community events and fundraising activities including Burns Night suppers, themed afternoon teas, quiz nights, raffles, fill-a-bag sales, charity events, family fun days and our popular 100 Club Lottery. We are also proud to support local community events including the Classic Car Show, Fringe Festival and Little Lumpy Charity Bike Ride, where our volunteers help serve refreshments, bake cakes and support fundraising throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible volunteers, supporters and local businesses whose kindness, generosity and ongoing support help keep Haslewey thriving. Our volunteers are truly the heartbeat of the centre, giving their time week after week to support the café, reception, fundraising events, activities and everyday running of Haslewey. Their warmth and dedication are what make Haslewey feel so welcoming, caring and community-focused.
